Illustrations from the novel "Smoking Hero"
Cover design and illustrations for my first published novel "Smoking Hero" (Thai: ภูตหมอกควัน Chinese: 煙鬼英雄傳). If you're a fan of Wuxia (martial art) novel, I'd like to introduce the new type of this genre as the story doesn't necessary set in China. Smoking Hero based on historical events in 17th century Ayutthaya, where was an international port city at that time, inhabited by various group of people, Thai, Mon, Khmer, Chinese, Japanese, Melayu, Javanese and Indo-Persian. The story does not concern the martial art world's activity only, but also the political conflicts and class struggles. There are 40 illustrations of a character that plays important role in each chapter.
